What if you had a plan to make a major change in your life that is a big financial risk? Would you take the risk?
Picture this, you have a vision, you have the plan mapped out, but you’re still uncertain of the outcome of your plan, so you wait for clarity. And wait. And wait. And wait. And wait more. Sound familiar? What if I tell you, there’s no way of knowing the exact outcome of any plan, but there’s a way to prepare for any outcome.
Listen to this: there’s this girl who had no interest in what she did to pay the bills. Her life had no purpose, she slept her life away and when she didn’t have to work, she wasted her days dreading about going back. She’s the type that don’t take no mess, so she wasn’t about to take it from this situation. So, she made a plan to change her situation, saved the money to change her situation, and then changed her situation, COMPLETELY. She started a business, quit her job and didn’t look back. She knew there was a chance that plans may not work out the way she planned, and it didn’t, but all she needed to do, and continue to do, is make another plan for when plans change. She knew that if she could get out of the situation she was in, she could do it again, and again, and as many times as she needed to. (If you haven’t figured it out, it’s me. I’m “this girl”. Haha.)
I’m not going to tell you to ignore your fears or the risks that come to mind when making a major change in your life because I don’t agree with that. When you’re making a plan to make a major life change, don’t be afraid to write down your fears or all the risks that comes with your big change. Then, make a plan for those also.
You may not know everything that life will throw at you, but remember, as easy as you made a plan before, you can do it again. Always remember a plan got you out of your last situation and if your new plan doesn’t go as planned, make a new one, based off your new situation. It’s funny how we fear when we don’t have to. Most people look back and remember they moved forward from where they feared to be. If you are uncertain about making the right move because you’re scared of the outcome, write, in detail, what outcome you fear and have a plan for it.
Planning will ease your mind about the decisions to make big changes in your life. Plans, in detail, will give you that push that you need to make that big life change that you’ve been thinking about for a long time. I encourage you to take some time out of your day and start planning. If you have a hard time organizing your thoughts and you’ve never really written a plan in detail, I’ll talk you through it and give you an example.
